Hello and welcome to my blog. I am hoping this is fun for you, and therapeutic for me.  Picture is of me on my wedding day (Yes, the one in the white), and my husband Mac, whose name is really Mike.

I am 63 yo gal, originally from Long Island, NY and have now lived in Tampa, FL for over 20 yrs. I love talking to people, yet I am now retired and I thought why not blog about my days, since no one is here so much of the day, I would have an outlet other than my dog Daffy, or my husband only...

Retired from my last business as  Senior Caregiver, spending 12 plus hours per day caring for Dementia clients, assisting in any way needed to give respite to the family member that does this full time. My husband laughs at the retired issue.. he knows if they call, I will go.

Prior to that I owned and operated a small restaurant in a Bingo Hall.  My profession for about 20 years had been in the medical field as a Respiratory Therapist.

However, the " field" I treasure the most is being a mother, having 4 children,  stepmother to 3, and between them all..... grandmother of 21!

I adore them all, and I am totally in love with my husband, Mac aka Mike. ( Yes, perhaps another blog day) 

I have a calling to feed people, so, I joined my church group for Meals On Wheels last year, and as one of the cooks, I help feed over 50 or our local shut in neighbors each week.  Our church also hosts a breakfast for the Homeless, at the neighbor church, and I make a big hot dish to help with that ministry. Called by God.. and I go. 

Just sharing my life, some inspiration, ideas, and cooking my way.
