Comfort Food- Metloaf, House Hunting, Ghost Orbs

Meatloaf, one of the comfort foods. I still need comfort, while waiting for this darned mortgage process to run it's course. So, meatloaf it was.

I do not make it exactly the same each time, but, very similar.

Meatloaf

1 pound of ground beef
1 small onion diced
1 small green pepper diced
1 stalk of celery diced
1 tbs granulated garlic
1 tsp seasoned salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 egg
1/2 cup bread crumbs ( last night I used fresh sliced italian bread- 4 slices)
1/4 cup water
2 splashes of Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup of ketchup ( I put this on top of the meatloaf)

Mix all ingredients by hand until well blended but do not over do it.

Place in a loaf pan. Cook in a preheated oven at 350 degrees F for about 45 minutes.

To go with this dinner, I prepared

Zucchini Bake

2 Zucchini sliced into thin rounds
1/4 cup parmigiana cheese
1/2 small onion diced
1 clove garlic chopped ( or use 1/2 tsp granulated garlic)
1 small tomato diced
Salt and Pepper as desired
Olive oil

Place into 8 or 9 inch casserole  mix it all up with several squirts of the olive oil. Sprinkle with more parmigiana if desired and bake at 350 degrees F for 30 mins.

I cooked this along with the Meatloaf, after the meatloaf had been in the oven for 15 mins, so, they would both be done at the same time.

Now, for my super secret Loaded Potatoes  Casserole:

Follow directions on back of the box. Yep, that is it, at least that was it last night.  Oh, but, please, use butter, not margarine. 

Updating on house hunting and the waiting game: We were told by the lender, that we need to submit the house we choose, and they WILL write a contract, that will close in 45-60 days from then, maybe sooner. I quote this dude. "please rest assured I am going to take care of you both to make this happen for your family."

So, we have chosen 6 homes to go look at with our Realtor, Helen A. this weekend.  There is one particuliar house we are interested in, as it has character, plenty of space, a nice large kitchen ( one of my must haves), an enclosed porch, a separate garage, and a 1/4 acre of land ( Mac's wish).  The yard is completely fenced in ( We need this for our D. O. G., Daffodil aka Daffy).

We will go see it tomorrow, hopefully, along with the others. This one, though, just might, just maybe might, very possibly might, have ghosts. GHOSTS, as in plural ghosts.

Have you ever heard or seen, that when you take a picture, and look at it after , that if there are orbs in the picture that were not seen to the naked eye while you took the picture, that those orbs represent spirits?  Well, that is what some paranormal experts say.

When we went on the Ghost Tour, in St. Augustine, FL, I took several pictures just like the tourist I was, and on some of my photos orbs appeared in them. I did not see any of them in person, just on the photos. They turned up in the hospital, the pharmacy, and the jail. Now, mind you, I took photos other than those, and there were no orbs on them.

As some people will say these orbs are just some artifact on the camera lens, such as water, or dust, etc, my contention is then why are they not on all of the pictures? Things that make you go hmmmm.

There are supposedly good and malevolent spirits in these orbs. They sometimes classify those by the color the orb shows up as.  You can check the link below to read more about that if you like.

So, hmm, that being said, one room in the house we are going to look at, would appear to have 5-8 orbs in it. None of the  other photos in that house have any. They are all in a child's room,  a child that is young, and has a Batmobile Bed. Here is the photo:

Orbs are a highly debated phenomena in paranormal circles. Some people believe they are visible evidence of spirits. However, many researchers doubt whether orbs are ghosts at all. About Orbs

Orbs are very common in paranormal photography and video. In digital photography, orbs are a known artifact of the process. The Association for the Scientific Study of Anomalous Phenomena (ASSAP) explains this in their case study on Orb Zone Theory. In the case of digital and film photography where colored orbs appear, this is often associated with the subtle coloring of the camera's lens. Other items can cause orbs to appear including reflective surfaces, dust, rain, water spots, and bugs. In video, infrared lights can reflect off of these same objects and give them a lighted orb-like appearance. For these reasons, many paranormal investigators do not consider orbs as paranormal evidence because there are too many natural world explanations for them.
However, it is a possibility that some orbs could be paranormal in nature. This may be particularly true of orbs seen with the naked eye, especially those that appear to have their own light source and unusual patterns of travel.

Ghost Orb Colors and What They Mean

There are many theories about what different orb colors mean, with many colors potentially meaning a variety of things. Interpretation of the colors varies according to different beliefs. However, in most cases, people interpreting orb colors and assigning a meaning do so based on spiritual beliefs about the meaning of various colors. It is important to note that these are spiritual theories only and have no basis in scientific fact.
One theory of orbs with different colors is that spirits are manifesting in the best way they can. In these cases, the colors may have no meaning at all, or a spirit could be trying to communicate something with the color. Clear Orbs

Clear orbs may be a sign that an entity is trying to communicate with you. The spirit may be trying to let the living know that some kind of significant event happened in that location, and that the spirit wants help to move on.

White or Silver Orbs

Spiritually, white or silver is associated with spirituality and connection with a higher source. Some investigators believe orbs that are either white or silver in appearance are an indication that a spirit is trapped on this plane. It may also be a sign that the spirit is there to offer protection to the people in the area. White energy is typically perceived as highly positive in nature."

So, IF they are spirits, at least they  are not malevolent. I also point out, the room is tidy, and nothing is  suspended in mid air, so, it does not look too scary.

Ok, next on my agenda is my daughter Jennifer is bringing my grandson, Brandon, 17 yr old, here for the weekend. So, I went shopping for food. Lot of food. I bought some Pork Cushions, and a Beef Brisket, as well as the cheeses I nee to make manicotti.

I plan to make BBQ Pulled Pork out of the cushion meat, and to cut the Brisket in half. Half I will make for the gang tomorrow for dinner, as Jennifer and Austin, my 9 yr old grandson  will be here too. The one half I will be putting in a brine to make Pastrami for the first time. The other half I will be making Smoked Brisket and Burnt Ends. Ohhh, yummy, also the first time I am making it, although, I know how. I will be doing this in the oven with wood chips under it, low and slow, and will cook the pork and brisket at the same time. The Pastrami half, will have to go in frig for 4 days in a brine, then smoked another day. My mouth is already watering..
